Sailing around the coastal and inshore waters of Pembrokeshire is a wonderful way to explore this world famous and protected coastline. Sailing is centred on the Milford Haven Waterway with marinas, sheltered water and a network of Yacht clubs, pubs and tranquil anchorages to explore. It is even fascinating to view the energy infrastructure from a boat’s eye view. Sailing schools and yacht charters both operate from the Waterway with cruising guides for the area readily available.
Beyond St Ann’s head, Pembrokeshire’s Islands and picturesque harbours such as Solva, Fishguard and Tenby are waiting to be explored. They offer a fantastic cruising ground where the company is more likely to be rafts of seabirds, dolphins, porpoise and seals than other boats.
See the map for more details on cruiser sailing on the Waterway.
